Russian Strike on Kropyvnytskyi City Center: 4 Injured, Kindergarten Damaged

Russian forces launched a strike against the center of Kropyvnytskyi, a regional capital in central Ukraine, on September 16, wounding four people. The attack damaged several private residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a number of parked vehicles. One woman declined hospitalisation despite injuries.

Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration head Andrii Raikovych confirmed the strike and the casualties in an official statement, noting that three of the four injured persons are receiving treatment in medical facilities.

Attacks on civilian infrastructure including schools and kindergartens represent a recurring pattern in Russia's strikes against Ukrainian cities. Kropyvnytskyi, located in central Ukraine, has faced periodic bombardment throughout the war.
