Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski issued a firm response to Russian threats targeting Poland's military infrastructure, stating that Warsaw is not intimidated and that any aggression against Poland would invoke NATO Article 5, guaranteeing a collective response from all Alliance members.
Russian officials had previously threatened to strike military infrastructure in countries allowing the use of Western-supplied weapons against Russian territory. Poland has been a key transit country and supporter of Ukraine.
Sikorski emphasized Poland's full confidence in NATO's collective security guarantee and stated that Polish territory is protected by the most powerful military alliance in history. He called Russia's threats counterproductive and a sign of desperation given the course of the war.
