Russia Kills Two in Sloviansk Residential Strike

Russian forces carried out a strike against the private residential sector of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region on September 15, 2026, killing two people and causing widespread destruction to civilian property across multiple neighborhoods.

The attack damaged an apartment building and 23 private houses. A retail pavilion and at least three cars were also destroyed. Residents in affected areas described scenes of total devastation — rubble, shattered glass, and burned debris were strewn across streets following the strike.

Ukrainian emergency services were rapidly deployed to Sloviansk to assist survivors, conduct search operations in damaged structures, and contain secondary fires that broke out after the impact. Authorities issued urgent calls for residents to remain in bomb shelters and stay off the streets.
