Snooker Champion Graeme Dott on Trial Over Abuse Claims

Graeme Dott, the 2006 snooker world champion, has gone on trial accused of lewd and libidinous behaviour towards a girl and a boy in Glasgow and South Lanarkshire.

The Scottish snooker player denies all charges. The case is being heard in Scotland, where such accusations carry serious criminal penalties.

Dott enjoyed considerable success on the professional snooker circuit, winning the world championship at the Crucible in Sheffield. The trial is expected to last several days.
