A drone strike carried out by Sudan's army struck a court session in a village controlled by paramilitary forces, killing at least 35 people, according to a human rights organization.
The attack targeted civilians gathered for a local court hearing in the paramilitary-held area. The army has not commented on claims that civilian lives were lost in the strike.
Sudan has been gripped by a devastating conflict between the national army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since April 2023, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths and one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.
