Tupac Murder Accused Said His Nephew Fired Fatal Shots, 2008 Recording Reveals

A recording of a 2008 police interview with Duane Davis, the man accused of organising the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, was played to the jury in his ongoing murder trial. In the recording, Davis told detectives that his nephew fired the fatal shots that killed Tupac in 1996.

The interview, conducted nearly 30 years ago, presents a significant piece of evidence in a case that has captivated the public for decades. Davis has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge.

Tupac Shakur was shot in Las Vegas on the night of 7 September 1996 after attending a boxing match and died six days later in hospital. The killing remained unsolved for nearly three decades before Davis was arrested and charged.
