Tusk: Polish-Ukrainian Services Foiled Direct Threat to Border Crossing

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced during a press conference in Slovakia that Polish and Ukrainian security services jointly prevented a direct threat to one of the border crossings between the two countries overnight on September 10.

Tusk commented on Russia's strikes targeting international border crossings with Ukraine and said: "Everything ended well, but we have to be prepared for various provocations of this type, including internal sabotage."

He added that Poland expects that its border crossings could also be targeted by Russia. Tusk also mentioned receiving a detailed report from the CIA about possible events in the coming months, which he said aligns with what he had been warning about for months.

The statement came as Russia escalated attacks on border infrastructure in Moldova and Ukraine in recent days, temporarily shutting down the Orlivka crossing on the Romanian border after a strike on September 6.
