Ukraine Railways: Kyiv Central Station Not Damaged in Russian Strike

1 min read

Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) issued a statement confirming that the central railway station in Kyiv remained intact and fully operational following a Russian missile and drone attack that targeted energy and transport infrastructure across multiple Ukrainian regions.

The company stated that passenger services through Kyiv were maintaining schedule, though some routes connecting regions that sustained infrastructure damage are operating with delays as repair crews work to restore connectivity.

Ukraine's railway network has been a frequent target of Russian strikes throughout the war, given its critical role in troop movements, logistics, and civilian evacuation corridors. Ukrzaliznytsia has developed rapid response protocols and pre-positioned repair equipment to minimize service disruptions following attacks.

The latest strike is part of an ongoing Russian campaign against Ukrainian critical infrastructure as the conflict approaches its fourth year with no political resolution in sight.
