Ukraine Reports 970 Additional Russian Casualties, Total Nears 1.3 Million

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported significant new losses for Russian forces. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Defense Forces have neutralized—killing or wounding—970 Russian troops. This latest figure brings the estimated total of Russian military casualties to 1,297,670 since the full-scale invasion began.

Extensive Equipment Losses

In addition to personnel, the Russian military continues to suffer heavy losses in military hardware. According to the updated statistics covering the period from February 24, 2022, to March 31, 2026, the destruction of enemy equipment includes:

• Tanks: 11,826 (+2 in the last 24 hours)
• Armored Combat Vehicles: 24,324 (+7)
• Artillery Systems: 39,110 (+61)
• Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS): 1,709 (+1)
• Air Defense Systems: 1,338 (+1)
• Operational-Tactical UAVs: 208,827 (+2,296)
• Automotive Equipment and Fuel Tanks: 86,359 (+199)
