Ukrainian forces executed a series of deep-strike operations overnight on June 10, targeting a key Russian defense plant in Cheboksary, a major oil refinery in Samara, and a shadow fleet tanker in the Black Sea — all confirmed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday morning.
Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo missiles struck the VNIIR-Progress plant in Cheboksary, capital of Russia's Chuvash Republic. The facility is one of Russia's principal manufacturers of navigation equipment for precision-guided weapons, producing satellite navigation receivers and Kometa-type antennas used in Shahed (Geran-2) attack drones, Kalibr cruise missiles, Iskander-M tactical ballistic missile systems, and unified planning-and-correction modules fitted to aerial bombs. The target lay more than 900 kilometers from the nearest active combat zone in Ukraine. OSINT analysis confirmed a fire at the administrative building following the strike.
Ukrainian forces simultaneously struck the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara, one of the largest oil-processing plants in Russia's Samara industrial cluster with an annual capacity of approximately 3.7 million tons of crude oil. A fire was confirmed. The refinery produces gasoline, diesel, and fuel oil that directly support Russia's military-industrial complex. Ukraine's Security Service also hit two oil infrastructure facilities in the Vladimir region, about 700 km from the front.
Units of Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Russian shadow fleet tanker WEST Horizon in the Black Sea, with damage to the propeller-rudder assembly confirmed. The vessel had been operating in Russian shadow fleet schemes to transport oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions.
Follow-up reconnaissance confirmed the destruction of 18 above-ground storage facilities and 3 open storage sites at an ammunition arsenal near Bolshaya Izhora in Russia's Leningrad Region, struck on June 6, with secondary detonations recorded. Zelensky thanked Ukraine's Special Operations Forces, Unmanned Systems Forces, and Defense Intelligence for the operations, calling them "Ukrainian long-range sanctions against Russian military facilities and the oil industry."
