Zelensky: Ukraine Hit Two Russian Chemical Plants in Perm and Samara Regions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday that the country's defence forces had struck two Russian chemical industrial enterprises and a range of military targets over the past 24 hours, in some of the deepest strikes reported by Ukraine in recent weeks.

The two chemical plants hit were located in Russia's Perm region and Samara region. Zelensky did not specify the nature of the facilities but said the strikes were carried out as part of ongoing pressure against Russia's military-industrial capacity.

Taganrog Targets and Black Sea Object

Ukrainian forces also struck multiple military targets in Taganrog: an FPV drone production facility, a fuel storage tank, a radar station, and a Pantsir-S2 air defence complex. A target in the Black Sea was also reported hit, though Zelensky gave no further details.

Aircraft and Prior Strikes Confirmed

Separately, Zelensky confirmed results of strikes over recent days: a Su-33 naval fighter jet and two Mi-8 helicopters were destroyed in Krasnodar Krai and Rostov region. An oil facility in Perm was also reported hit. The night before, Ukrainian forces had struck the Tolyattikauchuk rubber plant in the Samara region — one of Russia's key industrial sites.
