Ukraine's Central Election Commission (CEC) on September 16 formally recognized Dmytro Vydolob as an elected member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party. Vydolob was elected in the snap parliamentary elections of July 21, 2019, appearing at number 168 on the party's candidate list.

Why a New MP Was Needed

On September 4, the CEC had recognized Andriy Misyats as an elected MP from the Servant of the People party. However, Misyats subsequently submitted a formal statement declining his parliamentary mandate. Under Ukrainian law, the next candidate on the party list, Vydolob, then became the recognized deputy.

Vydolob's Profile

According to CEC records, Vydolob studied at the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design and is a resident of Kyiv. He will formally assume his parliamentary duties once he takes the oath of office in the Verkhovna Rada.

Recent Shifts in Ruling Party Membership

The reshuffle is part of broader personnel changes in the Servant of the People faction. In early September, deputies Andriy Zhupanyn and Ostap Shypaylo both resigned their parliamentary mandates. On September 15, Olena Slobodian took the parliamentary oath as a new Servant of the People deputy.
