Ukraine's Deliatskyy Takes Command of All Naval Infantry Forces
General Dmytro Deliatskyy has stepped down from command of the 30th Marine Corps and will assume leadership of Ukraine's full Naval Infantry Forces. The transition represents a promotion to a broader command role overseeing all naval infantry units within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Significance of the Appointment
The Naval Infantry Forces have been heavily engaged throughout the war with Russia, playing a key role in coastal and riverine defense as well as offensive operations. Consolidating their command under a single experienced general is intended to improve coordination and strategic coherence across units.
Deliatskyy's move from leading a single corps to commanding the entire branch signals confidence in his leadership. The 30th Marine Corps command will be transferred as part of the broader transition.
