Ukraine's ex-Supreme Court judge charged with laundering 26 million hryvnia
Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) charged former head of the Commercial Court of Cassation Bohdan Lviv with laundering 26 million hryvnia in illegally obtained assets, Ukrainska Pravda reported on September 23.
Assets and charges
The assets linked to the case include a house, land plots, and two apartments. Investigators allege that Lviv used his judicial position to accumulate wealth beyond his official income and then concealed the origins of these assets. The case is handled by NABU and SAP, Ukraine's specialized anti-corruption institutions established to investigate high-profile corruption cases involving senior officials and judges.
