Leadership Overhaul in the Unmanned Systems Forces

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have fortified the command structure of their Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) by appointing two seasoned field commanders to senior deputy roles.

According to an announcement made on Facebook by SBS Commander Robert "Madiar" Brovdi, Oleh "Khasan" Huit has been officially appointed as the Deputy Commander of the SBS. Concurrently, Dmytro "Zemliak" Oleksiuk will take on the role of acting Deputy Commander of the SBS Grouping.

Veterans of the Frontline

Both newly appointed leaders bring extensive combat experience to their respective positions. Huit previously led the 427th Separate Brigade "Raroh" within the SBS. Oleksiuk commanded the "Phoenix" unit of the State Border Guard Service (DPSU). Commander Brovdi praised the pair as "legendary field commanders," emphasizing that their integration into the command staff represents a vital personnel upgrade.

Strategic Objectives for the New Command

Commander Brovdi outlined several critical tasks for the new deputies as they assume their roles. These strategic goals include:

  • Disseminating valuable combat experience across all units.
  • Elevating and standardizing operational effectiveness throughout the entire grouping.
  • Scaling the capabilities of the SBS to forge a continuous, unbroken line of drones along the entire frontline.
  • Strengthening tactical coordination and integration with traditional army corps.
