In a significant nighttime operation on March 29, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) successfully struck key Russian military positions, resulting in the destruction of advanced rocket systems in occupied Crimea and critical fuel reserves in the Luhansk region.
According to Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, Commander of the SBS, Ukrainian drone operators targeted a military base located in the settlement of Sovkhoznoe, Crimea. The precise strikes obliterated three 300mm BM-30 "Smerch" or "Tornado-S" multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Additionally, a self-propelled transport-loading vehicle designed to supply the Tornado systems was completely destroyed in the assault.
The offensive extended beyond the Crimean peninsula. In a separate announcement shared via Facebook, Commander Brovdi confirmed that his forces also neutralized several fuel cisterns near Novosvitlivka in the Luhansk region. This particular operation was executed in close coordination with the intelligence unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
These strategic strikes underscore the growing capabilities of Ukraine's drone units in degrading Russian military logistics and heavy artillery deep behind the front lines.
