Ukrainian Drones Hit Wildberries Warehouses Inside Russia, 7 Killed

Ukrainian forces struck two major Wildberries warehouse complexes deep inside Russian territory on July 19, 2026, killing at least seven people and injuring 49 others. The strike reached targets between 300 and 450 miles inside Russia, marking one of the deepest and most damaging drone operations Ukraine has executed since the start of the full-scale war.

Two Warehouses Hit Far Inside Russia

The strikes targeted a Wildberries facility in the city of Tambov, approximately 475 kilometers southeast of Moscow, and a second warehouse in Elektrostal in the Moscow region. All seven fatalities occurred at the Tambov site, where 25 additional people were injured. A further 24 were wounded at the Elektrostal warehouse.

Wildberries is Russia's largest online retailer, often compared to Amazon. Its vast warehouse network distributes goods across all of Russia. Monitoring channels reported that both facilities were engulfed in large fires visible for many miles after the drone strikes, with Russian emergency services working through the night to control the blazes.

Ukraine: Legitimate Military Logistics Targets

President Zelensky and Ukrainian military officials justified the strikes by describing the Wildberries facilities as major logistics complexes supplying sanctioned components to Russian military production chains. Zelensky stated the operations were a direct response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian civilian energy infrastructure and cities, adding that Ukraine would continue to bring the cost of war to Russian soil.

Ukraine's Expanding Deep Strike Capability

The attacks highlight Ukraine's growing capability to conduct precision drone operations hundreds of kilometers inside Russia. Over the past months, Ukrainian drones have hit oil refineries, weapons depots, and now commercial-industrial infrastructure across Russia.
