During the night of September 26, Russian attacks struck residential buildings in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts, leaving 14 people injured and two dead in Zaporizhzhia, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced.

Civilian infrastructure damaged

A kindergarten in Kyiv, a lyceum near Kyiv, a university in Kharkiv, and energy facilities in Poltava, Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia oblasts were damaged in the attacks.

Zelensky calls for stronger response

Zelensky urged US President Donald Trump to support Senator Lindsey Graham's sanctions initiative targeting Russia and those financing its war. He also called on EC President Antonio Costa and Ursula von der Leyen to introduce additional European sanctions.

"If Russia has chosen to make its strikes even more brutal, the world must choose stronger responses so the war does not spread further," Zelensky said.
