Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on September 16 that Ukraine is preparing meetings with partners in the United States, addressing a range of critical issues including peace negotiations, energy security, food security, and military aid.
Zelensky stated that the discussions will cover peace talks — aimed at bringing the war closer to a conclusion — as well as new weapons support packages. He specifically mentioned air defense systems, saying new support packages for Ukraine are in preparation, including air defense. The talks will also address energy and food security topics.
It was reported earlier that Zelensky is expected to participate in events at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, which traditionally brings together world leaders in September.
