Zelensky: if peace is impossible, energy truce and food security deal are achievable now

President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the Yalta European Strategy (YES) forum in Kyiv on Friday, said that while full peace is currently impossible because one party refuses it, two concrete steps could be achieved immediately: an energy truce and a food security agreement.

Zelensky stated: If today peace is impossible because one person does not want it, we can resolve the issue of an energy truce and food security. Such decisions can be made at any level, even without a peace summit.

He stressed that Ukrainians would not be left without food, despite the ongoing war. The statement reflects Ukraine's position that partial agreements on specific sectors can be negotiated even without a comprehensive ceasefire.
