Zelensky Speaks With Rubio on Ballistic Interceptors and Starlink

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about interceptors against ballistic targets, early warning of Russian missile attacks and restoring the operation of Starlink and Starshield, he said in a post on his Telegram account.

Zelensky called the conversation "substantive." He and Rubio agreed to be in touch again soon on these issues.

Grateful for the readiness to help and the clear position. First: interceptors against ballistic missiles. Second: early warning of Russian ballistic attacks. Third: the situation around Starlink/Starshield, which has to be restored. Of course, all of this is against the backdrop of our diplomatic efforts to end this terrible war and the constant killing of people.

Starshield restrictions

Earlier it was reported that the order to restrict the use of the Starshield satellite system, which Ukraine uses for battlefield communications and drone control, came from the White House. Republican US Senator Thom Tillis is also launching an inquiry into the Pentagon's handling of the satellite communications problems Ukrainian troops have faced with Starlink.
