Energy Truce Claimed as Strikes Continue, PURL Threatened

A ceasefire both sides claim to want is not being honored. Washington threatened to halt PURL arms and intel to Kyiv unless Ukraine stops hitting Russian refineries, even as Zelensky said Ukraine backs the energy truce Trump proposed. Russia struck Kharkiv's TEC-5 plant almost as he endorsed it, and by evening he was still saying Kyiv supports the idea but awaits details from Washington. Russia kept hitting civilians and soldiers alike. A missile hit a grocery store near Kharkiv, killing three, including a teenage boy and girl, and wounding 22, among them children. A drone killed three soldiers and wounded three more in Ivano-Frankivsk. The General Staff logged 231 clashes in a day, heaviest near Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk. Kyiv answered on several fronts: Zelensky sanctioned 70 Russians tied to Iskander-M and Zirkon production, plus crypto exchanges and collaborators, and said the EU will send about three billion euros in aid next week. Defense Minister Khmara said interceptor drones went five for five against jet UAVs, with hundreds of anti-drone turrets now deployed nationwide, while forces destroyed eight ballistic launchers since September. Elsewhere, a man stabbed a recruitment officer in the neck in Lviv region and fled, and Polish security arrested a suspect accused of plotting to kill PM Tusk.
