Ebola Kills 500 in Congo as Outbreak Still Expanding, WHO Warns
The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has killed more than 500 people among 1,561 confirmed cases, the WHO reports. Declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern in May, the Bundibugyo strain has no approved vaccine, and WHO warns the outbreak is still in an expansion phase as population movement fuels transmission.
