A 37-story former Pfizer headquarters in Midtown Manhattan was declared "stable" on July 8 after structural columns buckled on its 21st floor the previous morning. Temporary shoring was installed to prevent collapse, with four surrounding buildings still under evacuation orders and no injuries reported.
