FDA Approves Bemotrizinol: First New Sunscreen Ingredient in 25 Years
The FDA approved bemotrizinol on June 9, the first new sunscreen active ingredient cleared in the US in over 25 years. The compound blocks both UVA and UVB rays and has been used in Europe and Asia since 2000.
