Araghchi Accuses Netanyahu of Dragging US Into a New War

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to drag the United States into a new war. Araghchi made the statement in a post on the social network X.

"Last time you wanted to 'finish the job', Iran only became stronger. Want to test fate again? Please. But be careful: we also have unfinished business."

"To stay out of prison"

In a separate passage, Araghchi said Netanyahu is pulling the US into another war in order to avoid going to prison.

"Netanyahu is dragging the US into another war to stay out of prison, whatever the consequences for Israel, let alone for the US president."

Context

Araghchi's statement followed US President Donald Trump's expression of "complete and unconditional" support for Netanyahu on the eve of elections in Israel.
