Somaliland has opened an embassy in Jerusalem, six months after Israel became the first country in the world to formally recognise the breakaway East African state's independence.

Amnesty International accused the Israeli government of deliberately pursuing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, saying Israel aims to annex the territory by force-displacing its Palestinian population.
