Denmark Delivers 50,000-Plus Rounds for Ukraine's F-16 Cannons
Denmark has delivered more than 50,000 rounds of 20mm ammunition for the onboard cannons of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, and Ukrainian pilots are already using them to intercept Russian jet-powered attack drones, European Pravda reported, citing Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.
"Swift and effective response"
The ministry said Ukrainian pilots are already using the ammunition against jet-powered attack drones. "We are grateful to Denmark for the swift and effective response to the request for additional ammunition. Such promptness has direct importance for strengthening Ukrainian air defense and protecting people from Russian air attacks," the ministry said.
Denmark's other support for Ukraine
Denmark is providing a credit guarantee of 750 million kroner ($112.6 million) to the Danish subsidiary of Fire Point, a Ukrainian maker of missiles and drones. Last month Denmark sped up its aid to Ukraine in response to a recent incident in which a Russian warship fired flares toward a Danish military helicopter. The new aid package totals 1.8 billion Danish kroner ($276 million).
