Over 1,000 Arrested as Protests in France Continue
Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets across France on Saturday, 24 October, and police arrested more than 1,000 of them, Deutsche Welle reported.
The demonstrations in France show no sign of fading. According to DW, there was less violence on Saturday than the weekend before. Ukrainian outlet Ukrainska Pravda likewise reported that about a thousand people were detained at the protests.
Earlier DW reporting counted more than 100 arrests at a previous round of protests in the country. The available reports do not say what triggered the latest round or what the protesters demand. Follow our world coverage for more.
