Four Rescuers Injured by Secondary Blast While Fighting Fire in Khmelnytsky

Four emergency rescuers from Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS) were injured by a secondary detonation while fighting a fire at a market in Khmelnytsky. The fire was caused by debris from a Russian attack on the city.

A total of 45 rescuers and 8 fire trucks were deployed at the scene. The secondary explosion occurred while firefighters were actively working to contain the blaze, injuring the four personnel.

Secondary detonations during rescue operations are a known danger when Russian strike debris fails to fully detonate on initial impact, posing additional risks to emergency responders working in attack aftermath zones.
