Klitschko Shares Photos of South Bridge Damage in Kyiv

1 min read

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has published several photos showing the aftermath of the Russian missile strike on the city's South Bridge.

The mayor said traffic across the bridge is still closed while specialists assess the extent of the damage. "Train traffic between the Osokorky and Chervony Khutir stations on the green metro line is also suspended," he wrote.

Background

The South Bridge was closed after a Russian missile hit it during the night attack on the capital. Earlier on the evening of October 26, Russian forces struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles, killing one person and injuring ten, and overnight on October 27 they fired on the capital with ballistic missiles again, hitting an administrative building in the Podilskyi district.
