Kremlin Says France's Ballistic Missile Test from Submarine Sends a Loud Message

1 min read

The Kremlin reacted to France's October 6 test launch of the M51.3 ballistic missile from a nuclear submarine, describing it as a loud and clear message. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said problems should be solved through dialogue, not by demonstrative rocket launches.

Peskov also criticized the European Union's ongoing military build-up, saying the EU's efforts to transform itself into a military-political bloc were counterproductive. The M51.3 is France's latest nuclear-capable strategic ballistic missile.
