Residents across Ukraine should prepare for a mix of mild spring temperatures and persistent rainfall in the coming days. According to the latest forecasts from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (UHMZ), the country will experience generally warm but wet conditions through the first half of the week.

National Weather Outlook

Meteorologists have issued an advisory for varying levels of precipitation across the country. As explicitly stated by the UHMZ: "On April 2-4, light rains are expected in Ukraine, with moderate rains in the west and south of the country on April 3. At night and in the morning of April 2, there will be fog in the southern, central, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions."

Despite the rain, the overall climate will remain relatively warm. Nighttime temperatures across the country will range between 3°C and 10°C, while daytime highs are projected to reach a comfortable 12°C to 19°C. However, the weather in the Carpathian Mountains will be notably cooler, featuring a mix of light rain and wet snow, with temperatures hovering between 0°C and 6°C throughout both the day and night.

Forecast for the Capital

In Kyiv, residents can expect light showers throughout the day on both April 2 and April 3. Nighttime temperatures in the capital will sit between 5°C and 9°C, warming up to a maximum of +17°C during the day. Winds will blow from the north and northeast at speeds of 5 to 10 meters per second.

Conditions in Kyiv are expected to clear up significantly by April 4. The capital will see a dry day with zero precipitation. Daytime highs will reach up to +16°C, while cooler nighttime temperatures will drop to between 3°C and 5°C. The wind will shift to the northwest, slightly increasing in speed to 7-12 meters per second.
