Pakistan Warns Iran to Restrain Houthis After Saudi Arabia Strike

Pakistan delivered a warning from Saudi Arabia to Iran demanding that Tehran restrain the Houthis, following the Yemeni group's strikes on a Saudi air base and oil infrastructure that left 73 injured. Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif warned that a collective defense pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey could be activated.

Saudi aviation forces responded to the attacks. Iranian sources claimed Tehran ordered the Houthis to strike Saudi Arabia, though Iran officially denied controlling the group.

The warning signals a potential regional escalation, with multiple powers holding defense obligations to Saudi Arabia now involved. Iran received the ultimatum through Pakistani diplomatic channels but publicly rejected responsibility.
