1 min read

Russian occupying forces attacked Sumy with two guided aerial bombs on September 25, striking two different parts of the regional capital. Sumy Oblast Military Administration head Oleg Hryhorov confirmed the strikes and said private residential homes and a school building were damaged. One wounded person was hospitalized; a rescue operation was under way at the impact sites.

Two simultaneous strikes

"With two guided aerial bombs, the enemy struck the regional capital. Hits were recorded at two points in different parts of Sumy," Hryhorov stated. Emergency services worked at the scene to assess damage and assist casualties.

Escalating attacks on Sumy

The attack follows a similar strike on September 23 when three guided bombs hit Sumy's Zarichny district, injuring 7 people. Russian forces have repeatedly targeted the city close to the Ukrainian-Russian border.
