Russian Drone Targets Chuhuiv

On March 31, a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle struck the city of Chuhuiv in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, resulting in injuries to four individuals and causing significant damage to local infrastructure. The attack specifically targeted the grounds of an inactive enterprise.

Casualties and Structural Damage

While initial reports suggested no casualties, the situation quickly evolved. Halyna Minaieva, the Mayor of Chuhuiv, confirmed that the strike left one civilian woman and three police officers wounded.

"Unfortunately, information about the victims is coming in," Minaieva stated. "Currently, it is known about various degrees of injury to a civilian woman and three police officers. A critical infrastructure facility, a children's institution, and about 15 private houses (mostly glazing and roofs) were damaged."

Power Outages and Recovery Efforts

The bombardment triggered partial blackouts across the city. Emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to mitigate the aftermath of the assault. Municipal authorities anticipate that electricity will be restored to the majority of the affected districts within two hours.

However, residents in the Druzhba neighborhood will face longer delays. Power restoration in this area will only commence once specialists have thoroughly inspected the vicinity for unexploded ordnance and completed necessary repairs to the electrical grid.
