1 min read

Russian drone strikes on civilian vehicles in Ukraine's Kharkiv region claimed at least two lives on October 3, according to the head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov and the regional prosecutor's office.

Attack in Shestakove Village

An enemy drone hit a civilian car in the village of Shestakove. A 35-year-old woman died at the scene, while a 39-year-old man sustained injuries and was hospitalised for medical treatment. The attack was the latest in a pattern of Russian drone strikes deliberately targeting civilians and their vehicles in the region.

Driver Killed in Maslii Village

A second drone strike occurred near a bus stop in the village of Maslii at around 09:00 local time. An FPV drone struck a vehicle and the driver was killed. The Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office confirmed the fatality.

Further Damage Across the Region

Beyond the fatal attacks, an FPV drone hit in the city of Derhachi caused damage to two private residential properties. In the village of Lisne, on the territory of the Feldman Ecopark, a separate FPV drone attack damaged four vehicles. No casualties were reported in those incidents.

The attacks are part of an intensified Russian drone campaign against civilian infrastructure and population in the Kharkiv region, which borders Russia and has been subject to near-daily bombardment throughout the war.
