Russian Drones Strike Kyiv, Fire Breaks Out in Desnyansky District

1 min read

Russian unmanned aerial vehicles carried out multiple strikes on Kyiv during the night of October 3 to 4, with falling debris igniting a fire at a non-residential building in the Desnyansky district, the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) reported.

Details

According to KCMA, the building involved in the fire was not a residential structure. Emergency services responded to the scene. No casualties were reported in this incident.

Air raid alerts were announced five separate times over the capital during the night due to the ongoing drone threat. Residents were advised to take shelter in designated safe zones.

Context

The attack is part of a sustained Russian drone campaign against Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. Russia's Foreign Ministry issued a statement the same week, again calling on foreign diplomats to leave Kyiv, citing the continued military strikes on the capital. The EU and Western partners rejected these warnings and said their missions in Kyiv remain fully operational.
