In the early hours of March 31, Russian forces launched a deadly assault on the central Ukrainian city of Poltava. The nighttime strike claimed the life of one individual and left four others wounded, according to official reports.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine confirmed the casualties, noting that minors were among the victims. "At night, the enemy attacked Poltava. A multi-story building was damaged, [and] rescuers evacuated residents," the Ministry stated. The official statement further specified, "Four people were injured, including two children. One person died."
Beyond the residential sector, the bombardment also targeted critical civilian areas. Law enforcement officials reported that an infrastructure facility and an open stretch of land sustained direct hits. Emergency response teams were promptly dispatched to the scenes, successfully extinguishing the resulting fires and securing the affected areas.
