US television presenter Savannah Guthrie has made another emotional public plea to the people who abducted her 84-year-old mother Nancy, asking them to come forward and reveal her location.

The appeal

In a video posted on social media on Monday, Guthrie addressed those responsible directly. "I'm asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now. Help us find her - tell us where to look for her," she said. She also stated: "It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed. We have done our part, and we will never stop looking for her."

Background

Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31 when relatives dropped her off at her home near Tucson, Arizona. Investigators believe she was taken against her will, though no suspect has been arrested and no motive has been publicly identified.

Two ransom notes were later sent and are believed credible by investigators. The first demanded millions in Bitcoin for Nancy's release. The second stated that she had died - a claim that has not been confirmed. The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Department have been investigating her disappearance for months, and their inquiry remains active and ongoing.

Guthrie's message

In closing her appeal, Savannah Guthrie expressed hope that those responsible could still make a different choice. "Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us, no matter where we've been and what we've done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice," she said. Nancy Guthrie, who requires daily medication, has been missing for nearly six months.
