Ukraine Starts Talks with EU to Join IRIS2 Satellite Communications Program

The European Commission has opened negotiations with Ukraine regarding the country's accession to the EU's secure satellite communications program IRIS2, Ukraine's Ukrainska Pravda reported.

IRIS2 is the European Union's infrastructure for resilient interconnection via satellites, a constellation designed to provide secure connectivity to government users and critical infrastructure operators across the EU and partner countries.

Ukraine's participation in the IRIS2 program would deepen its integration with the EU's security and digital infrastructure, marking another step in the country's ongoing EU accession process.
