Ukraine frontline: 197 combat clashes on Sunday, fiercest fighting near Pokrovsk

Ukraine's General Staff reported on Sunday evening that a total of 197 combat engagements had taken place across all fronts since the start of the day, with enemy forces continuing to press most heavily along the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions in the Donetsk region.

Key frontline developments

On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 enemy attacks. Russia targeted areas near Dobropillia, Myrne, Serhiivka, Dorozhne, Shevchenko, and Udachne. On the Kostiantynivka direction, 18 hostile assaults were repelled near Kostiantynivka, Dovha Balka, Rusyn Yar, Toretsk, and Kucherov Yar.

On the Pivdenno-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy launched four assaults near Kozacha Lopan, Volohivka, Lyman, and Startsi with one engagement still ongoing. In the Kupyansk sector, two enemy thrusts near Kivshariivka were halted. On the Lyman direction, defenders blocked two attempts to advance near Novoserhiivka and Novoselyvka. The Slovyansk direction saw seven repelled attacks near Yampil, Ozerne, Kryva Luka, and Mykolaivka.

On the Kramatorsk direction, one attack near Yurkivka was stopped. The Olexandrivka direction saw three repelled attacks near Ternove. On the Huliaipol direction, six engagements were registered near Hirke and Charivne. The Orikhiv direction recorded one repelled attack near Chervona Krynytsia.
