Ukraine in Talks with Neighbors on Relocating Border Crossings for Safety

1 min read

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tikhyi said Ukraine is in ongoing discussions with Moldova, Poland, and other neighboring countries about restructuring border crossing operations to protect them from Russian attacks.

The talks intensified following the October 5 Russian drone strike on the Palanka crossing point on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, which forced its temporary closure.

Ukrainian diplomats are developing logistics proposals in coordination with neighboring countries to ensure border operations can continue safely despite persistent threats to border infrastructure.
