Ukraine's General Staff reported on Wednesday that the country's armed forces repelled 251 Russian combat engagements on June 10, 2026 — one of the highest daily totals recorded in recent weeks — while overnight air defenses intercepted the vast majority of an exceptionally large drone salvo.
Fighting was particularly intense in the Pokrovsk direction, which continues to be Russia's primary axis of advance. Ukrainian forces repelled attacks across all major front sectors including Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman, Siversk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Vremivka, Orikhiv, and Kherson. Artillery, mortar, and FPV drone attacks were recorded across all sectors. No significant territorial changes were confirmed by Ukrainian command.
Overnight from June 10 to 11, Russia launched a mass strike involving 221 Shahed-type attack drones. Ukraine's air defense forces shot down 195 of them — an 88.2% intercept rate — while 26 others were lost to radio electronic countermeasures (jammed or lost signal). No ballistic missiles were reported in this wave.
Debris from intercepted drones fell across multiple Ukrainian regions. Local authorities in several oblasts reported fires, with emergency services responding overnight. There were no confirmed large-scale infrastructure strikes in the wave according to Ukrainian Energy Ministry preliminary reports. Ukraine's air defense network, which has been significantly reinforced with Western-supplied systems including IRIS-T, NASAMS, and Patriot batteries, continued to demonstrate high effectiveness against the drone threat.
