Ukraine to implement power restriction schedules on Sunday afternoon

Ukraine's national power grid operator Ukrenergo announced on October 10 that a number of regions across the country will face hourly power restriction schedules on Sunday, October 11.

Schedule details

According to Ukrenergo, the restrictions will apply from 15:00 to 23:59 on Sunday. Both industry and households may face limitations during this period. Ukrenergo also announced parallel restrictions on industrial consumption starting from the morning hours.

Context

The power restrictions follow Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, which have significantly damaged generation and transmission capacity. Ukrainians are being asked to minimize electricity consumption during peak evening hours.
