US State Department Comments on Iran’s Weapons Supplies to Russia at UN General Assembly

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the US State Department commented on Iran’s ongoing weapons supplies to Russia for use against Ukraine. Washington reiterated its calls for Tehran to stop military support that enables Russia’s continued aggression.

Iran has been supplying Russia with Shahed-series kamikaze drones and other military equipment since 2022, significantly increasing the threat to Ukrainian civilians and infrastructure.
