Zelensky Announces Meetings on FREYJA Anti-Ballistic System and Ballistic Weapons Packages

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia deliberately calculated the overnight attack to inflict maximum damage on Ukraine, while announcing upcoming meetings with representatives of states and companies that can assist with anti-ballistic interceptor deliveries and Ukraine's FREYJA system.

Zelensky wrote: 'It was a complex attack that the Russians deliberately tried to calculate for maximum damage to life... In total, our warriors shot down 175 air targets overnight, but unfortunately not all. Despite very good results on cruise missiles, it is particularly difficult with ballistics, and every day we prove to partners our need for interceptors. We have already spoken about this with Americans and Europeans, and there will be more meetings, including today, with representatives of states and companies that can help with supplies and with our anti-ballistic system FREYJA.'

Zelensky added that he expects to meet US President Trump in late September to raise the issue of ballistic weapons packages. He noted that the night's attack followed the departure of Trump's special envoys from Kyiv.
