Zelensky Meets Icelandic FM En Route to Canada, Discusses Air Defense and Energy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Iceland's Foreign Minister Thorgerdur Katrin Gunnarsdottir on his way to Canada. The encounter was dedicated to deepening cooperation between the two countries.

The talks covered winter preparations for Ukraine, protection of energy infrastructure, and air defense. The two sides also discussed Iceland's FREYJA anti-ballistic missile program, which could be relevant to Ukraine's defensive needs.

Zelensky and Gunnarsdottir also reviewed the work of Iceland's Energy Support Fund, which has been assisting Ukraine in maintaining critical energy infrastructure amid continuous Russian strikes.
