Zelensky: Russia Struck Kyiv Energy Infrastructure with Ballistics, Partners Gave No Warning
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia carried out a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv, targeting the city's TPP-4 thermal power plant and a residential building. The president emphasized that Ukraine's Western partners had not relayed any intelligence warning ahead of the launch.
The absence of advance warning meant Ukrainian air defense had no opportunity to prepare an adequate response to the incoming ballistic missiles. Zelensky called on allies to improve information sharing mechanisms to prevent such situations in the future.
