Zelensky Sanctions Russian Missile Makers and Suppliers, Rusal Units
President Volodymyr Zelensky enacted two decisions of the National Security and Defence Council imposing sanctions on Russian companies and individuals involved in producing ballistic and cruise missiles, drones, military aircraft and other weapons, the president's website said.
First package: missile components
The first sanctions list includes 51 individuals and 44 legal entities involved in producing and supplying components for Iskander, Kalibr, Kh-101 and Kinzhal missiles. Among them are the G. S. Petrov Institute of Plastics, the Comet special-purpose space systems corporation, VitaReaktiv, Promenergo and other enterprises of Russia's defence industry.
Second package: equipment and materials
The second package covers 32 Russian citizens and 35 Russian companies that supply high-precision industrial equipment, electronics, raw materials and components for the production of missiles, drones, armoured vehicles and military aircraft. Sanctions were also imposed on enterprises of the Rusal group, whose products, according to the Office of the President, are used in the manufacture of Russian weapons.
The President's Office said it will work on synchronising these sanctions with international partners.
